The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Fighters Table

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of personalities, and a gripping narrative including divine entities, demons, and malevolent powers expanding in power within the city.

Note: Key plot points for Episode 3 of this adventure follow below.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the initial group of adventurers who will separate from the main group to embark on their independent quest, apart from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table features Teor Pridesire (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

Considering 13 cast members, it was obvious from the outset that maintaining everyone at a single group would be impossible.

This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Overture, intertwining the individual narratives before dividing into three separate parties: Warriors, Planners, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

According to the DM, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed fight-heavy story mode where diplomatic options are rare.

Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might appear unsuited, but the actions of the latest installment make it clear why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

First, the party knows exactly where to go next after a brutal initial meeting with the enemy group.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose passing started the story’s plot—exploited The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, invading Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The traitor then settled his liabilities and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, above Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each adventurer has a specific drive to depart the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as the companion and trusted friend, desires retribution.
  • The adventurer is familiar with Timmony and advises that it is a nasty environment.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having defied his family’s wishes to execute the target and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their reputation as important members in the influential clan could help the party access areas they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, The fighter pledged a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now follow him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are wanted by the rulers that govern the setting for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The healer defied the influential house and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the clan.

This means them few options but to travel to Timmony in search of Casimir.

What’s Next?

According to the latest episode’s Cooldown, we find out that the warrior group will not appear next week, leaving the other eight cast members to form the Seekers and Planners groups.

Viewers can expect discovering which characters will be in which group in the story’s last Overture episode, available to watch on October 24.
