The rising star boasts substantial online following
The young golfer can count on numerous high-profile backers when she makes her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, received a tournament invitation to play at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, owns numerous courses worldwide and frequently matches against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we play some close matches," she revealed.
The golfer shared that Trump, who won't be present, told her: "Simply stay calm."
"He essentially advised me to compete and enjoy myself," she explained.
"In my eyes, he's just an ordinary family member. He can't make it for the tournament. He's occupied with world affairs, making him somewhat preoccupied."
As an amateur, Kai has competed in a mere three competitions this year and holds ranking 461 in AJGA standings.
However she's able to receive tips from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He represents the top athlete in the world," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's a superior individual. He suggested me to compete, have fun, following whatever happens."
Kai will face several top competitors in women's golf at this tournament, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Officials mentioned that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to new audiences, specifically with younger fans.
Kai boasts millions of followers and has started an exclusive clothing and lifestyle brand.
Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
