FC Barcelona Ready for Historic Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday
Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in domestic competition 30 months following their departure for construction to commence.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. Once fully finished, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. The club said recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.
Preparatory Events
The club conducted a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou in early November. They mentioned approval is being pursued from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side on 9 December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
