This sun-drenched foodie getaway, located at a villa by the river in the inland Portuguese region, is inspired by the vegetarian dishes of celebrated cooks. Guests will master the art of meze spreads, attend a hands-on falafel session, perfect mid-morning meals such as shakshuka, and make substantial main courses including spicy mushroom ragu and moussaka. There are visits to the local market and a local vineyard to sample Portuguese wines, along with free time for strolls by the nearby river, to unwind on the terrace or swim in the pool. Street Dance in Buckinghamshire

Hip Hop Don’t Stop is an uplifting, inclusive weekend dance intensive for adults in High Wycombe. The daily schedule each day is a party-style warm-up session, then three hour-and-a-half workshops teaching various street dance styles, then an 60-minute freestyle session to show off those solos. Participants are divided into groups based on skill level, so it is perfect for those who are completely new to street dance, all the way to advanced dancers or instructors. This event does not provide accommodation but there are several hostels and hotels nearby, and it is 23-35 minutes by train into London.

Sea Shanty Break in St Ives

St Ives is the perfect location for a maritime music retreat. Participants will learn traditional shanties from a folk singer and vocal coach, and have a go at composing original ones. There will be vocal warmups, breath control techniques, stagecraft advice and a final evening concert. The retreat is held in a country house with views of St Ives Bay. All meals are included, such as a traditional tea on the first day, cooked or continental breakfasts, lunches to go and evening meals. Grog, unfortunately, is not included. Creative Writing in Crete

Writer and tutor an experienced instructor conducts the regular sessions on this authors' getaway. He covers everything from story structure, characters, setting and tension, to submitting work to publishers. It is aimed at produce “ecologically mindful beekeepers”. This course is also a opportunity to de-stress in the organization's sustainably managed woodlands, which are habitat for wildlife, otters, dormice, lesser horseshoe bats and uncommon bird species. These new weekend sailing courses are spent on dinghies and Dufours on the Blackwater estuary.
